THE STORY
The story of Gav and KWo starts one Basel evening in the spring of 2014, when they met for the first time at a farewell party for a friend. Their interaction was brief, but interest was sparked! After a few more encounters - some chance, others orchestrated (thank you Ginger Velo), the official first date happened on the banks of the Rhein, and from there, there was no looking back.
We have spent countless hours skiing, hiking, and cycling in the Swiss Alps, and now can't wait to celebrate our wedding here too!

VISITING Switzerland
If you plan to spend a bit more time exploring Switzerland, here are a few tips!
For Mountain Enthusiasts:
Tschiertschen is in the canton of Graubunden. This is the easternmost canton of Switzerland and is home to endless hiking and mountain biking trails and some stunning train journeys. There is lots to do in this region if you can stick around for a while.
Outside of Graubunden, consider Zermatt - the Matterhorn is like no other peak in the world, and the village is spectacularly Swiss.
The Eiger-Monch-Jungfrau range in the Bernese Alps is equally unique, and you can travel up to JungfrauJoch - the highest railway station in Europe. Grindelwald is a good base here, or stay up in the mountain town of Murren or Wengen.
If you're keen to see the Italian side of Switzerland, head down to Locarno or Lugano. They have almost a mediterranean feel, and could be a nice stop if you're keen to continue on down to the Italian Lakes (Como, Garda, etc.)
For City Escapes:
Check out Basel! Stroll Rhine-side, go to the incredible galleries, or stop by and see us in Binningen! The Krafft Hotel, Nomad Hotel or The Teufelhof are nice boutiqu-ey places to stay
How about Zurich? This lakeside city with the mountains in the background is hard to beat. We recommend staying in The Townhouse boutique hotel - right by the train station and great value.
